“65 Years” Exhibit Opening
First Division Museum
Thursday, June 1, 6-9 pm
Join us as we celebrate the opening of our “65 Years” special exhibit at the First Division Museum. This must-see exhibit is indeed worthy of a party! Visitors will see no fewer than 465 artifacts arranged in surprising ways, creating a dynamic visual experience for all who step into the transformed lobby space. For a sense of drama, the objects are presented in a countdown format starting at 65, a nod to Cantigny Park’s 65th anniversary year now in progress. Like the military museum itself, the blockbuster exhibit combines history, storytelling and cutting-edge curation to leave a lasting impression on guests.
During the evening we invite you to mingle with the curatorial and research team that made “65 Years” possible. They have some great stories to share! The festivities will include live swing music by The Nite Hawks, accompanied by hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Remember to stop by the museum’s pop-up gift shop to enter a raffle for a Cantigny Park prize basket!
“65 Years” will run from Memorial day through Veterans day. For more information about the exhibit please click on the link below.
