This Month’s Topic: The Colonel of Cantigny
Have you wondered how Robert R. McCormick became known as “The Colonel”? Or why Cantigny Park is named for a small village in rural France? This month we’re joined by Jeffery Anderson, Assistant Curator, and Exhibits Coordinator, to discuss Colonel McCormick’s military service with the Illinois National Guard and the 1st Division. In addition to examining his wartime experience, we’ll also look at some of the remaining artifacts from McCormick’s service.
