Remember the sacrifices of those who were prisoners of war (POW) and those missing in action (MIA) during a memorial ceremony led by American Legion Cantigny Post 556 at the First Division Museum.
This observance is held across the country on military installations, ships at sea, state capitols, schools and veterans’ facilities. It is one of six days throughout the year that Congress has mandated the flying of the National League of Families’ POW/MIA flag.
Ceremony Begins at 11:00AM. Throughout the day, a missing man table will be displayed in the lobby of the First Division Museum. The table and items on it symbolize the sacrifices made by prisoners of war and those still missing in action.
