This Month’s Topic: General Vincent K. Brooks

View newly donated artifacts from General Vincent K. Brooks in this virtual visit to the Collections Department. General Brooks, a 1980 West Point graduate, was the Academy’s first African-American Cadet First Captain, the highest position a cadet can achieve. He commanded the 1st Infantry Division for two years beginning in April 2009 when the Big Red One was deployed to Iraq. His distinguished military career included additional high-level posts prior to his retirement as a 4-star general in 2019.

This program includes built-in closed captioning through Zoom.
