This is a photostatic copy of a WWI German map showing the Cantigny sector. The original was likely captured during a trench raid prior to the Battle of Cantigny. Before an attack, the U.S. Signal Corps would reproduce captured enemy maps for distribution to US forces. Lieutenant Harrison Caswell received this map prior to the battle.
