Party Suit

A unique piece manufactured for Major General Albert E. Milloy while serving as commander of the 24th Corps in Vietnam. Typically associated with Air Force pilots, party suits were strictly used for off duty activities and recreation.

Milloy commanded the 1st Infantry Division from August 1969 to April 1970. He then took command of the 23rd Infantry Division and finally the 24th Corps. This lineage of command is indicated through the array of insignia on the suit. Wreathed 1st Infantry Division insignia indicating membership in the Society of the First Division, 23rd Infantry Division shoulder sleeve insignia on the right arm, and 24th Corps insignia on the right breast.
