PFC Ray L Figenscher Letter March 31, 1943

Dear Chuck

Received a letter from you today, the one with the extra sheet of paper. Now listen one track, how am I going to send it without an envelope. Here is the way it works out. We carry our paper and envelope in our field bags, that is if we have any to carry. It rains hard, the field bag soaks through, the envelopes stick together so they are no good. The paper can always be dried out but the envelopes are ruined. Catch on, you don’t have to worry about the censor taking out any extra envelope for no letters coming out here are censored, they are never opened. Even if they have he wouldn’t care, what they look for is military information and you don’t know nothing no how. I never did get the sweater and so forth you sent, don’t expect to now. You probably just thought you sent it. So Han is in a jam. He should have known he couldn’t do that and get away with it. Bet sis is boiling mad at him. All for now. Hope all are well. Love to all, Roy.
