1st Sergeant Alan R. Cooper wore this canteen on April 1st, 1967 while serving with Company C, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment at the Battle of Ap Gu. A bullet hit the canteen, entering through the bottom, passing through the canteen body, and exciting near the spout. 1SG Cooper was not injured.
