Overview
Nothing But Victory
From their harrowing landing on Omaha Beach and on through the treacherous French countryside, soldiers of the U.S. Army’s 1st Infantry Division sought nothing but victory. This summer, the First Division Museum at Cantigny recalls the extraordinary events of D-Day, June 6, 1944. The special outdoor exhibit, a fusion of art and history, begins with a captivating visual story measuring 300 yards, the approximate distance across Omaha with enemy fire raining down. After ascending the bluffs, the exhibit takes visitors on a path through simulated hedgerows culminating in a sculptural tribute to the heroic sacrifices made 80 years ago.
Nothing but Victory opens June 6 at Cantigny.
