Pocket Watch

Elgin, Illinois native William R. Webb of the 745th Tank Battalion carried this watch with him during WWII. While in combat, a piece of German shrapnel hit Webb’s watch, shattering the crystal and saving his life. Mr. Webb replaced the crystal face after the war.
