Cantigny Park Visitors Center: 5:30 – 6pm
Join us for a special after-hours moment of thanks, featuring remarks by Colonel (retired) Nick Johnson from the Illinois Army National Guard. In addition, the Illinois Chapter of Quilts of Valor will conduct a quilt ceremony.

Meet the speaker: Colonel (retired) Nick Johnson served with the Illinois Army National Guard, retiring after 32 years of service. He started his military career as a Cadet within the 1st Battalion, 178th Infantry Regiment, a unit he ultimately commanded. He went on to command the 65th Troop Command headquartered in Peoria, Illinois, and served as the Deputy Commander for the Joint Task Force leading Illinois’ COVID response.

Veterans Day Reflection Trail

First Division Museum Tank Park: 4:30 – 8 pm
Take a moment to reflect on the service of veterans by walking through the First Division Museum’s outdoor Tank Park. Quotes from veterans of the 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army, will guide guests along the way and share meaningful memories and moments of reflection.
